For European citizens there is no visa requirement. The passport must by date of entry still have six months validity. You will receive an entry stamp at the border, which authorizes a three month stay in the country.
The German children's ID card is recognized, but it must contain a photograph. Young people aged 16 years and older always need their own passport.
