Kasbah de la Vallée

Kasbah de La Vallée is a 2* hotel-restaurant ideally located at the entrance of the Dades gorges. Just over the Dades River, it offers a wonderful panoramic view over the oued (Arabic name for river), the silver poplars and the entrance of the awesome Dades gorges where you can still encounter many nomads living there with their herds. Dades never dries and run through the whole year in the gorges, pleasantly cooling them in the summer, which makes them a very appreciated resort. The hotel is in front of a small creek where the nomads regularly come. You'll have breakfast on the terrace, just over the river Dades, and after that you'll walk among the small wheat parcels, the fruit trees, have a picnic, and you'll come back in the evening in the hotel for a diner enlightened by local musicians and the sound of the dimdouns (this is how we call drums in Berber). Hammou and Mohammed Sahbi, the owners, created a welcoming hotel, simple and comfortable, where you feel treated like a friend. The food, traditional Moroccan one, is generous and delicious.
