O 4: Beaten Track Adventure

3 day, 4x4, 1/2 day camel

Day 1 : Ouarzazate  – Draa Valley – Tamgroute -  Mhamid

Departure around 08:00 morning from your hotel in Ouarzazate for enjoying a two days trip in the desert of Mhamid . This eco-tourism exploration joins between ttravelling along green valleys and also nomad life search. we continue our exploration to reach Draa valley at the length of 200 Km. We cross partly off road to reach Zagora. We continue for a worthy visit to the historicl village of Tamgroute for the visit of an under ground Kasbah and koran library. We reach the door of Sahara desert, Mhamid for lunch. Around 04 p.m you will be accompanied by a local guide to visit the local lasbahs and also the palm groves. Night with dinner in a hotel in Mhamid.

Day 2: Mhamid – Sacred Oasis – Erg Chegaga dunes

After breakfast in the hotel, departure from the Gate of the desert (Mhamid) into the real and immense desert on the Camels crossing a 10 km distance of small dunes lunch under an unloading Tamarisk tree. This camel tour is a worthy experience of a simpler, quieter life and a sojourn off the beaten track in the dunes of the Sahara. It is a search for another life that’s of the nomad tribe with different traditions and customs. Around 03 p.m you are picked up  in 4x4 to enjoy beautiful desert landscape crossing a Sacred Oasis. After a nice picturesque sunset on the sand dunes of Erg Chegaga. Dinner and night in the bivouac either under the stars in the vast desert sky or in the nomd tent.

Day 3: Erg Chegaga – Iriqui lake – Taznakht – Ouarzazate

After enjoying the sunrise up the sand dunes, breakfast is served to you, then departure in 4x4 vehicles via the old Paris-Dakar road to Foum Zguid, crossing  Iriqui lake. Lunch in the berber village Taznakht. Then, we continue our  desert safari towards the Ait benhadou kasbah, a 16th century UNESCO site. It is one of the best preserved and most spectacular Kasbah in Morocco. A famous site for Hollywood films, Ait Benhaddou was used for the blockbuster film of 2000, Gladiator. Arrival to Ouarzazate around 05 p.m.
